Use color correspondences to help choose the colors of your candles, altar decorations and more when planning a spell or act of worship. Colors can also be used in home decor and clothing choices to bring their energies into your everyday life.
It is important to note that colors have the potential to have deep symbolic meaning. Because of this color correspondences are very subjective, even moreso than many other correspondences. It is more important in magical work that the symbols, in this case the colors, you are using have personal meaning for you.
Additionally, colors can symbolize very different things in different cultures. For example, some cultures consider white a color of mourning, while others associate it with weddings, and there's a host of brides to be who wouldn't dream of marrying in anything but red.
Clearly, it is important to look to your own cultural upbringing as well as your own experiences before taking correspondence table recommendations to heart, particularly with colors. If your gut tells you the color doesn't make sense in your spell, you should not use it regardless of what any chart tells you. All correspondence tables should be used as a guide only and not be taken as law. That being said, we hope you find our color correspondence table helpful.

Do you have a question or something to add?
What does it mean when colors around you start to change? Things that are pink around my house are starting to turn red. Some roses in the front yard that have bloomed pink for 10 years are suddenly having the occasional red bloom. A vehicle in my driveway has chipped off some pink paint to reveal red underneath. I feel like there is some magical/metaphysical meaning to this but not sure how it will affect me. Does anybody have any insight about this?
hello Sandra. in the tradition i follow red is a symbol of magic, it usually shows its self in small ways but from small beginnings come great things. Be on the lookout for an abundance of blessings. Through this you may grow closer to your higher power honestly.
hi Sandra! i think that might mean that things in your life that used to be one way (probably geared towards the pink correspondences) are now turning to red ones. it might be a good idea to follow suit in a way, preparing yourself to reassess some of the areas of your daily life and adapt accordingly.
Hi, I've got a really important job interview coming up and have to wear a black suit. I wanted to wear a coloured scarf to smarten it up - my favourite is a turquoise scarf with gold leaves printed on it. The gold leaves will be fab for the interview, but I'm not sure about the turquoise - I was hoping it would combine the properties of blue and green, but I expect it's not as straightforward as that. I was hoping for the qualities of blue - opportunity, luck and legal matters - and green being transformation, new beginnings, employment etc. ~Any thoughts on Turquoise would be much appreciated for a novice!
I think that sounds perfect. You should go with your gut. Thanks to my sister, who painted our bedroom Tiffany blue so we could sleep inside a Tiffany box , like the precious gems we are, I will forever associate turquoise with expensive (perhaps overpriced) things. I saw it differently than she, and hated it. My idea of a really valuable gift is an awesome new kitchen appliance, but to her, the color represented something very valuable and delightful, exactly the kind of energy she wanted to cultivate. (But I digress) I think your interpretation is right on though.
Thank You! That settles it…
That's such a shame about turquoise for you, because for me it's the colour of the sea and really tranquil. I would also much prefer a kitchen gadget than stuff for the sake of stuff. Garden implement ditto! My mother-in-law once bought me a pitchfork for my birthday, knowing how much I would love it. She still laughs about it…
Hah. The first birthday gift my husband bought me when we were dating was an 18 inch Lodge cast iron frying pan it was wayyy bigger than he thought it was going to be and I couldn't use it on my stove top, but one day a lightbulb went off and I realized it's great for pizza!
Haha! That sounds about right, I'm always having to re-purpose unsuitable items! If it has no handle, it would be perfect for pizza in a kettle barbecue - preferably a charcoal one. I heat mine with wood (nothing too smelly or resinous) and when it's hot, put your pan in to heat. When that's hot, drop your pizza in for about a minute and a half. It should be perfectly cooked after this short time. You probably need to cook raw meats - e.g bacon, chicken, before adding to the pizza. This also works well with a ceramic pizza stone, although you have to move the flaming wood to one side to stop the stone cracking. Also, if you try it in the berbeque, you can try this French recipe for Soca pancakes, they are specific to Nice in France.
Put 500g or ml of water in a large blender or mixer. Add 2 tablespoons of good olive oil. Then, add 300g of gram flour - chickpea/ garbonzo flour? I don't know what you call it in the States. Add a little at a time, mixing hard in between. Add a scatter of ground cumin, smoked paprika and garlic granules. Not too much of any of these - it's a whiff not a full on flavour. Add half a teaspoon of salt. Leave to sit in the fridge for a while. It carries well in an old plastic bottle to barbecues,
Anyway, when you're ready to cook, heat the pan as described above for BBQ, make sure you have a little oil - just a wipe - tostop it sticking. Pour a ladle of batter in, move it around the pan. Shut the lid, open it pretty much straight away and your socca is done. Scrape it out the pan - it will break up, this is fine. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and more salt.
If it's not BBQ weather, the same recipe works ok on the hob like a regular English style pancake - large and thin. Try adding smoked salt instead of regular to make up for the lack of woodsmoke.
Totally not at all witchy, but couldn't resist sharing so you can get more enjoyment from your pan!
Someone should add gold and silver/gray to the list above.
Yeahh
How would this work with animals? I mainly plan to work with animals, plants and minerals, and I'm wondering how I would use this with animals.
It is not generally considered eithical practice to dye animals, but having spent many years in the pet industry, I know many who have had good luck with Kool Aid powder with white dogs and silkie chickens.
If you're working with larger animals, I'd recommend using collars, leashes, bridles, and/or blankets in your desired colors. If you've got, say, hamsters or birds, you should get them toys or food bowls in the colors you want. You could also decorate their enclosures or beds, provided they won't try to eat your decor. Good luck!
Oh jeeze, yes that's perfect. Why didn't I think of that. Harnesses and blankets are way better than Kool Aid dye.
Does your favorite color have to do with anything? Does your personality reflect a color? What if your favorite color isn't on the list? I know the sun corospnds with gold, but glod isn't on this list. Nor is aqua or silver. Sorry for all the questions, I'm new.
If you associate yourself with a color, then, generally, you are either aligned, personality-wise, with the energies of that color or that you value those qualities. Or you just like the color. Not everything is mystical. Gold and silver are there. Aqua is blue-green.
Thank you much! I'm new, and appreciate the feedback!
I'm struggling to understand what it means when it says Mars influencing Saturn for example in the red section. Could you elaborate on what this by any chance? Thanks!
