Tin is one of the oldest metals known to man. It has been used in combination with copper to form brass and bronze tools and weapons since the 4th millennia BC.

Tin holds the atomic number 50 on the periodic table with the symbol Sn for its Latin name stannum although the ancient Romans actually referred to tin as plumbum candidum or "white lead" and stannum referred to a lead and silver alloy.

The metal tin corresponds to the element air and the planet Jupiter and is considered masculine in nature. It resonates with Sagittarius and Pisces.

Tin is used in magic related to luck, expanding horizons and divination and to attract prosperity and business success. Tin may be placed in a shoe to ensure good luck while traveling or made into a talisman to increase luck in all financial matters.
