It can be cleaned with plain water and a soft cloth. If it gets scratched, take it to a jeweler to have it polished out.

Moonstone Toxicity

Feldspars like moonstone contain aluminum which should not be ingested. However, tumbled moonstone is safe to wear as jewelry and hold in the hand, even for long periods. It is also safe to use to make gemstone elixirs using an entire tumbled stone that will be removed. It should not be crushed and added to elixers, however. Always wear a mask and take care not to inhale the dust when grinding and engraving moonstone.
