History and Folklore
In Ancient Egypt, the god of wisdom, Toth, dictated the secrets of magick and alchemy to Hermes Trismegistus on an emerald tablet.
It has been believed that emerald amulets could calm storms, prevent miscarriages, bring good luck, and when placed under the tongue, allow one to prophesy.

Emeralds also come from the Muzo mines in Colombia. Some say Muzo emeralds are the best quality. The Muzo tribe was the last, and more difficult, of the major clans the Europeans subjugated. They were known as the "Green People" because they worshipped nature & traded the emeralds to other groups
