Voodoo is a synchretic religion combining African and Catholic elements into a unique whole (though it varies by region) that happens to have magical elements as part of its practice and belief structure, including both folk magick and ceremonial elements. Witchcraft is a general term for folk magick, so you could call some Voodoo practices witchcraft, technically, and some do. But the term "witchcraft" used in the common vernacular usually refers to European-based folk magick traditions. Whether either usage is more correct than the other is a matter of debate for some, and inconsequence for others. Magick is magick, it's in both practices. There are many, many traditions that utilize magick in various forms and by various methods.
