Is mugwort making my muscles sore?
I have been drinking mugwort tea every night before meditation for three nights in a row now. I add honey and pumpkin spice (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg) to is for flavor. I have been having good dreams not all lucid and I can't remember them all. But I feel like maybe the mugwort is giving me sore muscles. I had done research before buying and using it and haven't heard anything about sore muscles other than if you put some in your shoes it's supposed to help with preventing sore muscles but I did hear that it can make a woman start her period or go into labor (don't have to worry about that) so I was thinking maybe it has an effect on the muscles and that's why my muscles have been feeling like I'm training for a weight lifting competition? Idk Any advice?

That is how many abortifacants work, by causing muscle contractions, so your theory is plausible, but I can't say for sure. I've never had this issue (I use I enjoy this dream tea, which contains mugwort). The only way to be sure is to stop taking it for a couple days and then repeat your experiment. If it happens again, you'll know. We're all experimenting on ourselves, here. I would be interested to hear further results of your experiments. Just don't take mugwort for too many days in a row, it's not exactly nutritious.
The spices you're using along with the mugwort are an interesting choice. I have used ginger specifically to help ease muscle pain, so you've got a competing affect there (assuming the mugwort is the culprit). Cinnamon and ginger are also stimulating, so I would worry they'd interfere with your sleep. (Although nutmeg is soothing and wonderful in hot milk with honey before bed.)
It's been a few days without it and my muscles are feeling so much better. I think maybe I'm just extra sensitive to that side effect. I also haven't been doing any third eye meditation either though so maybe that has helped too.
