This depends on your particular interests. There are Kitchen Witches who study the magical uses of everyday items and work to bring positive energies into the home, who often include gardening and herblore in their practice. There are Hedge Witches who use astral projection and communicate with spirit beings and who often incorporate herblore into their practice. There are Wiccans (and many others) who use Witchcraft as a vehicle to connect with the divine. There are all sorts of Witches. How you practice depends on what you're interested in and what you believe to be important.
Whatever else Witches do, we strive for wisdom and wisdom comes from a combination of knowledge and experience. Knowledge of the natural world (botany, biology, geology, ecology, astronomy, meteorology etc.), of the history and folklore of our ancestors and of magical and spiritual techniques such as meditation, dream work, energy work, herbal and crystal lore, charms, divination, astrology, etc. is a foundation from which we work (specific topics depend on specific interests) but true wisdom isn't gained without practice. Witchcraft is a practical craft, that means we do things, useful things, not just flashy things.
So, to practice witchcraft you can begin small- meditate, keep a dream journal, garden, cook from scratch, observe the cycles of nature- even just acknowledging what time the sun comes up, that the moon is full, that the seasons are changing is a big step for some, but you can meditate upon these changes and cycles, write poetry, music, create art, eat seasonally, decorate your home seasonally, feel the changes and make them a part of you. Then get bigger- ground and center, perform simple banishing, cleansing and drawing spells to benefit yourself, your family and friends. Making healing potions. Learn the best times of the day and month to do these things. Learn and practice lucid dreaming and astral projection. Connect with your local place spirits. Connect with your ancestors.
