Not all witches do but a lot of us witches do. I dont consider them "suffering" I have been blessed with "insight" since i can remember…….. we are given dreams either to pass our sleep (usuallly when we wake and dont remember any of it), or to tell us /warn us about something, someone or a situation or question we may have been worrying over (wake up remembering most of the dream but not every little detail) or its showing us the future (full color well all my dreams are color anyhow lol, but i will remember every little detail even what everyone else was wearing ;in the dream)
so there are reasons witches have these dreams.
Witches often receive insight through dreams, but stress can induce night terrors as well.
First, make sure you are getting the Magnesium you need. Night terrors, anxiety at bedtime, waking in a panic and difficulty sleeping can often be settled with a small magnesium supplement before bed.
That handled, get a notebook and begin recording your dreams every morning when you wake up. Even if you don't remember them, just write "I don't remember" and ramble a bit about how you're feeling or if you just remember snippets, write those. If you find you've got a lot on your mind before bed, "dump" all of that into your journal before you go to sleep too. This can help sort things out so your dreams can really be dreams instead of just anxious jumbles of weirdness. Keep your journal within reach of your bed (under the bed or under your pillow works if you don't have a bedside table to keep it on.) and a pen or pencil clipped to it so it's always ready the minute you want to write in it. If you wake in the middle of the night from a dream, write down the dream right that minute. If you can't remember the dream, just write down what's on your mind. Something like "I just woke up in a panic, I am not sure what it was about. It's almost morning right now. I think I hear the cat in the kitchen.." etc. You do this so you build a habit.
Review your dream journal periodically and I think you'll find patterns that begin to make sense soon, especially if you're doing a "brain dump" before you go to sleep.
