Vampires do not exist . Especially in the book or Hollywood sense . There is a mental illness where a person believes he or she needs to live off blood to live but that is only a mental disorder not a reality .
Calling it a mental illness or mental disorder is inaccurate and creates a stigma against mental health. As witches, pagans, wiccans, and/or occultists, I think we should be more sensitive before we label someone as mentally ill unless it falls under the DSM or ICD. Vampires, people who need to drink blood in order to survive, do not exist. However, I'm sure there are people who live a vampiric lifestyle. More commonly accepted is the belief of psychic vampires, people who (whether they realize it or not) drain energy of others.
Vampire lore is pretty easy to come by. It has nothing to do with witchcraft.
