There are things I genuinely believe in and things I have a harder time with. I am a skeptical witch. I do what works. I have experienced real magick, and I've seen a lot of nonsense too.
the magic of this world is different than that of fiction , your just not gunna become a water bender like from avatar ( if you do i want to know how ) .but basically an easy way to explain that i recently read is many religions call them different things , with christianity its called miracles and they celebrate those however if you were to call it magick to a christian you might get a dirty look . our spells and rituals are our version just like praying to their god asking for a miracle is theirs . in the witchy world the " supernatural " is just generally more accepted , personally ive seen things and experienced things that no other religion offers an explanation to , like why is it when i touch a tree and close my eyes and focus can i see the history of that tree . i can see a couple carving their initials into it , i can see a bird making its summer home . i tell that to non witchy friends and they simply dont believe me or think im touched in the head . however even i find somethings hard to believe . just my two cents from a begining witch to you .
Hi Zodiac, this sounds like a fair assessment. Magic is nothing like in the movies, and what witches call magic others might not realise is magic at all. The most mundane things can involve magic. In the witch sense of magic, yes - i do believe in it. In terms of magic shwon in the movies the answer is a qualified "no" i say qualified because i think that theoretically anything is possible - perhaps i could fly or light a candle using just my thoughts - but reality is very different to theory. Even if lighting a candle were theoretically possible, the chances are that the power required by me to generate enough friction to cause the candle to light probably means i would have to stare very hard at it for about three million years..
