The Element of Spirit
The fifth element, the Element of Spirit is sometimes replaced by Aether, Quintessence or Akasha in modern lists of elemental energies which also include Earth, Air, Fire and Water. While the other four elements are physical, the element of Spirit is non-physical and exists between, within and above all of the other elements and represents the space and the connection between all things. Spirit also represents consciousness.
